Laura Knight Keating, citynester

Laura  Knight  Keating  is  truly  a  girl  Friday. Laura  stumbled  into  the  world  of  architecture  and  design  10  years  ago  and  has  been  working  alongside  Lauren Rubin of Lauren Rubin Architecture  ever  since  as  an  interior  decorator,  marketing  assistant,  office  manager  and  co-author  of  Look  Up  New York (Volume I).

As  the  mother  of  two  school  age  children,  she  strives  to  find  the  right  balance between  work  and  family.  A mix  of  acting,  writing  and  design  has  turned  out  to  be  the  winning  combination.  Laura  loves  children’s  books,  modern  furniture, bold color, cool  wallpaper  and  backyard  birdwatching.

Her  educational  background  is  in  theatre  -  holding  an  MFA  from  American  Repertory  Theatre/MXAT  Conservatory  for  Advanced  Theatre  Training  at  Harvard  University.  She  has  been  working  as  an  actor  and  an  audiobook  narrator  in  New  York  City  for  over  20  years.
